Tracking sales through company blog using segments

Hi

I want to track sales generated through our company blog. My thinking was to credit the sale to the blog where it is the original entry point onto our company website and then the visitor goes on to make a purchase within 30 days of that visit. I've been trying to setup a segment in Omniture to track this but I'm new to it and not 100% confident I have it configured correctly.

Could anyone suggest how I could configure the segment to obtain the desired data?

The best way to do this would be to populate a tracking code or variable of some sort when the referrer is your blog. You might consider creating a processing rule to do this (if you don't want to wait for a development cycle to release a code change).

Otherwise you could try something like the following (which will ONLY work if your blog has a unique ref-domain, that is NOT part of your internal URL filters):
