Specific page view doesn't match social media referral clicks

I currently have some online ads leading to a specific landing page on my website with a vanity URL. When I login to Adobe Analytics and look at the number of page views and visits for that landing page, the number is significantly lower - social media analytics tell me hundreds of clicks to the landing page, Adobe Analytics says 3 page views.

What is the reason for this huge discrepancy?

Hi Loewe, this is a really difficult question to answer since everyone's implementation is different. However, I would recommend the following KB article:

Comparing Adobe Analytics data to third-party products

If you're able to set up an environment where you know both Adobe Analytics and your social media tool should be counting data, you'll be able to troubleshoot the issue to see why Adobe Analytics might be reporting so low.
