Report Builder dashboard, using Segment Selector. Change of Segment isn't used when request is refreshed

I have a dashboard that uses a Segment form control that the user can use to select the segment for the requests.    Eash of the requests reference the cell location of the form control . When I change the value of the Segment and use VBA, e.g., automationObject.RefreshWorksheetRequests(ActiveWorkbook.Sheets("File Downloads"),  the results do not use the segment selected.

How do I force my requests to use the value in the Segment drop down form control?
