Renaming Traffic & Conversion Variables

I want to rename some of my Traffic and Conversion Variables to include the variable ID:

Current State: prop57 = "External Type"

Renamed: prop57 = "External Type (c57)"

Current State: eVar25 = "External Type"

Renamed: eVar25 = "External Type (v25)"

Will renaming these effect my reporting in any way whatsoever?

Won't make a difference - will just appear as new names in report suite menus.
