Removed methods in Analytics Administration API v1.4

I wasn't able to find any info so far on why the methods listed on the What's New - Analytics Admin 1.4 API (https://marketing.adobe.com/developer/documentation/analytics-administration-1-4/whatsnew-1) page were removed.

 

I'd like to know why they were removed (especially, the GetPages/SavePages/DeletePages methods).

I'd also like to know what alternatives exist (excluding scraping the analytics admin pages) to get the data. I'm wondering if Adobe has or will provide replacement for these removed API methods.
