PDF Export doesn't seem to work

I've created a number of reports in the new Analysis workspace.  Over the last few days, however, I have been unable to export them as PDF.  I get the 'success' message, but nothing ever arrives (and I have checked spam folder etc.)

Anyone else have this problem?

Thanks,

Chris

Hi Chris,

I have tried scheduling PDFs from workspace for the past few days and I an receiving them though not on time. Is it possible for the firewall to be a factor with you?

There are a number of issues including non delivery and delivery at wrong time to be fixed in the next maintenance release (today) under AN-125176.

Yeah you are right Andrew. Hopefully the delivery would function normally now. Do let me know your feedback. :)

So nothing actually arrives when you export it as a pdf, unless you are taking about sending the file via email for which I apologize in advance smiley

When you export the project as pdf you initially get this message.

Post this step, you need to wait for some time to get a message which says that your project can now be downloaded.

Once you click on the link (your project name), a pdf version opens in a different tab. But I think the download button here is broken. The file is saved in a unknown format.

Workaround: Open the project is crome and press "ctrl+p" (print command). Select the destination as "save as pdf" and hit go.

Works like a charm. Let me know how it goes.

Any updates on this?  I have requested PDF and CSV reports from Workspace yesterday (June 27) morning at around 7:00 am EST and they have not yet arrived - 28 hours later... Needless to say this makes it really hard to use this otherwise excellent tool for some common reporting stuff...

When I access my report in Workspace, it loads all tables properly (with a huge wait time), but when I request PDF report from it, I get pdf where some tables show message "unable to show visualization. Please add components to the data source..." I have tried deleting those tables and putting new ones in. Same visualization works in one workspace and does not work in another workspace. This is a big problem. The tool itself is excellent, but there are many unpredictable bugs and behaviors which makes it very unstable.

Hi All,

The update that i have on the wrong scheduling times is that the Issue is being working upon and the team is trying its best to fix it in the July release. Apologies for the inconvenience and delay on this, your inputs have been very beneficial in improving Analysis Workspace. Keep the feedback coming. Thanks!

Seeing the same issue here apparently it's on a high priority fix with Engineering, make sure your account manager is aware to keep the pressure on to get these issues fixed.

Hi Guys,

Are you still facing the issues around PDF Exports?

PDF export works quite well now.  Pagination of course would be great, but I take what I can get.

Thanks!

Hi I'm still having this issue, cannot download PDFs at all, or have them emailed

I am still facing problems exporting or receiving a particular workspace project. I have several projects and all of them get delivered except for one. I tried re-creating that project from scratch, duplicating it and nothing seems to work. Timeframe is set to quarterly and I can provide more detail if needed. For this one report, I also tried CSV format and that did not work either. I am hoping this can be fixed soon.

I also noticed that when I schedule projects for 5am and save settings, the next time I open those settings, it says 6am. This is happening for all projects.

Thanks.

Hi, I am still not able to download a PDF and have numerous problems printing them after they are emailed:

1. It tries to print it all on one page

2. The summary number boxes get all jumbled - even when they look okay on the screen. I reduced the zoom in the browser and that worked okay but for automatically sent dashboards this may not work.

Does Adobe have plans to fix the PDF functions so that these dashboards are usable?

Thank you!
