Path Length Pages Per Visit: 0 in Ad Hoc Analysis?

Avatar

Hi.  When I run a path length analysis in Ad Hoc tool I have a significant number of Pages Per Visit: 0.  I'm not sure how to interpret this.  When I run a similar report in Report and Analytics, the Pages Per Visit: 0 category is not shown

Those visits would be considered custom-link only visits. Path Length is only incremented when a full s.t() image request is called.

Hey Jesse,

Pardon my ignorance but are we talking about Path Length report. If yes then line items will start from Visit of 1 page, Visit of 2 Page etc.

Please elaborate a little more on the problem.

Thanks

I'm talking about Path Length Pages Per Visit when pulled with Ad Hoc Analysis not just through Reports and Analytics

Gigazelle, thanks.  I think your answer is what I was looking for.  Can you elaborate a little on what custom-link only visits are or maybe provide an example?  Sorry, I'm new to this world.

Thanks

These would be instances where a user came to a page, did not do anything for 30 minutes (letting their visit expire), then trigger a custom links (such as a download or exit link).

They aren't terribly common, but they definitely do happen.
