Orphaned analytics components

Is there any easy way to restore the relationship of components (projects, calculated metrics, segments) that were orphaned when a user was deleted in Analytics?

I had an access issue with one of the Adobe orgs I support.  I'm now able to get back in, but all the components I owned previously are owned by "Unknown User".  I've been able to access and edit the components using component IDs and the method in this blog.  But I can't find them easily in the UI.

Saving them didn't recreate the owner association?

I'm going to assume these are used in various reports so saving a copy would mean a new id, and updates to the new components won't affect the reports using the old ids... and short of updating all the reports (not recommended) you will still have all these orphans, correct?

This may be a job for Client Care.. the only thing I can think of is that they may have the power to associate the components to your account...

Unless somehow, miraculously, "Unknown User" shows up in the Analytics admin for transferring assets?

Admin > Analytics users & assets

If they do, you might be able to transfer from that record to yourself?

@jennifer_dungan  - you were right, this was a case for client care.  They were able to reassociate the segments with my profile with the segmentID.  (Unfortunately they couldn't do the same with calculated metrics or projects.  But I can share the project with myself which does help a lot.)
