Match Next Page Flow Results to Segments

Question

I am attempting to match the data obtained via the Omniture Next Page Flow report using segments. Is this even possible? If so, how? My attempts (simplified below) are always meet with failure.

I am looking at users who enter page A then go to page B using the next page flow report. I have created a visit-level segment which expresses, Entry Page equals "A" Then Within 1 Page View(s) page equals "B"

For the Next Page Flow report I get 135,000

For the segment report using the visits metric I get 808,000

I understand the next page flow uses paths and their might be some difference but I wouldn't expect a 6x difference. If this is expected what can someone do to compare apples to apples instead of apples or oranges?

if you use the visit segment with the definition „entry page„ = „A“ this applies to every hit within a visit (because the entry page is valid until end of visit). therefore the segment selects all visit where the entry page is „A“ and then there is ANY page followed by „B“

if you want a segment similar to the entry path report you need a visit segment where the first page view is „A“ (similar to entry page but not the same!) and the second page view is „B“

Hello - I'm having the same issue and wondering if you could clarify your answer. What do you mean by first page view then second page view? Is "first page" a dimension? If I simply do "page" equals "XX" then after 1 page view "page" equals "YY" that wouldn't really account for only entries for page XX?
