how to track traffic from HTTPS to HTTP sites on Adobe Analytics?

Hi,

My reports are not showing referrer traffic from HTTPS sites.

How can i track them?

    As I understand, when the browser is leaving an https site linking to a non-https site, the referrer info doesn't come across.  When Google changed the bulk of searches to be on https, that's part of the reason all the referrer info dried up in our analytics reports all around.

    Is there a way you can add a parameter onto the links coming to your site from the https site?  This might help solve your problem/need. 

    Another thing you could try is to get the specific inbound landing pages on your site to come in as https, if your site has an SSL certificate installed.

    Hi Filipa, can you provide us with the domains in question that you're not seeing data on? Implementation issues are troubleshot the easiest by looking at the domain in question.

    Hello,

    our site is HTTP.

    But we receive referral traffic from a HTTPS site (and i cannot mention which site it is, sorry...).

    Adobe Analytics is accounting this traffic as direct traffic and not referral traffic. And this is not correct.

    So in terms of implementation issues, we can check on our site, but not on the referral site that uses HTTPS.

    Is there anything that we could do on our side?

      Hey Filipa, as I understand from our developers, in theory you may be able to change your site's overall HTTP or HTTPS rules to send or receive information. There are inherent security pros & cons though with the options. Definitely talk to a developer really working at the very root of your site.
