How to roll up all Facebook URLs to one metric, all LinkedIn to one metric, etc

Hi,

I am trying to get a report on Social media referrers to our site.  What I am looking for is something like

Page Name

    Facebook

    LinkedIn

    Twitter

I started with the Entry Pages report, but I don't see any way to get social media referrers as a second dimension.

Is there a way to do this?

Thanks,

Kathryn

Hi,

You can surely combine the referrers by using classifcations. That would create the report output like you are wanting to see. You could check out classification rules here - https://marketing.adobe.com/resources/help/en_US/reference/classification_quickstart_rules.html

Let me know if you have more questions.

Hi Kathryn,

You can do this in Analysis Workspace.

Open the entry pages report in workspace and breakdown the line items by referring domains. Now create a segment with the visit container in which the referrer type equals 'social media'. Add this segment to the project and you will have the desired output.

Let me know if this works for you.

Thanks for your suggestion, but I don't get the results I want

This is what I see:

MySiteHomePagePath

    lnkd.in

    t.co

    linkedin.com

   facebook.com

I was hoping that AA had the capability to combine referrers so that the report looks like

MySiteHomePagePath

    LinkedIn

    Facebook

    Twitter

    etcetera....
