How to remove smetrics.* CNAME Domain from Adobe Analytics

Hello,

We have previously used Adobe Analytics and set up a custom CNAME domain (e.g., smetrics.ourdomain.com) for data collection. However, we are no longer using Adobe Analytics and would like to completely remove this custom tracking domain.

Hi @민우한1

since this is your organization's domain, Adobe cannot really do anything about it.

Reach out to your system administrators how the CNAME can be unregistered.

On top of that, since Adobe is typically providing the certificate for this subdomain, you should contact support once the CNAME entry is removed from your organization side.

hello

Based on the results of the nslookup command, it appears that the asset is hosted on Adobe Cloud.
Could you please let me know the administrator account information, if available?

Contact Adobe Customer Care or your previous Adobe account manager to . One of them should be able to assist you.

If you can't do that, then ask your domain administrator to remove the CNAME record. Adobe will then stop renewing the certificate. See the "Important" box at https://experienceleague.adobe.com/en/docs/core-services/interface/data-collection/adobe-managed-cert#maintenance-and-renewals . You will need to find out within your organisation who your domain administrator is (try your IT support first), no one out here can help you with that.
