Hi All,
On a specific page, there are several download file buttons. When a user clicks on any of these buttons, an Adobe Analytics download click is triggered. Please find the attached screenshot, which includes the event and eVar details.
Typically, I use eVar7 (Download File Name) as a dimension and event4 as a metric for analysis. Is this the best approach to understand this event in the report, or are there any alternative methods that could make the report more impactful for the client? Your guidance would be much appreciated. Thank you!

While we can't see the full tracking call that is being made, what you are describing sounds like a good approach.
I am not sure what all you are collecting, but a see a number of dimensions... so maybe some breakdowns like Top Downloads per page (assuming you have multiple pages with downloads), or just your top downloads in general.
You could also do some calculated metrics like Downloads per Visit (event4 / Visits) or Downloads per Visitor (event4 / Unique Visitors) if that is important to you.

PFA the details.
Thank you for the suggestions!
I appreciate the confirmation on the approach. I’ll look into creating breakdowns, like Top Downloads per Page and overall Top Downloads, as you mentioned. I’ll also explore calculated metrics like Downloads per Visit and Downloads per Visitor to add more insights to the report.
Thanks again for the helpful ideas!
You're very welcome
