Flow visualization numbers don't match table with same info

I'm working on a report for a specific set of pages. I noticed that the using flow visualization on a specific page to see entries and previous pages doesn't match what I see when I create the same thing in table form. The number of entries on the flow visualization is almost double what I see for entries on the page on the table. I have confirmed that the dates/segments applied are the same. I have tried this both looking at entries on the page, as well as entries on entry page. Does it have something to do with the flow visualization counting multiple hits?

If you're comparing Path Views (the Flow visualisation's metric) with Visits or Entries, then they won't match.

Thank you, this and other linked articles were helpful in defining the flow visualization. Has changing the metric or providing some sort of metric selection for flow visualizations ever been considered? It doesn't seem that useful to see the flow of instances when there could easily be so many on a single page.

That sounds like something that could be contributed as an Idea.
