Differences Next Page Flow report Sitecatalyst and Adhoc Analysis

Hi,

When I compare the Next Page flow report in Sitecatalyst with the same report in Adhoc analysis, there are quite a lot of differences. For example, starting from the Homepage (500.000 views):

-Exited Site (as next page) is 4% in Adhoc and 28% in Sitecatalyst.

-Homepage (as next page) is 27% in Adhoc and does not appear in Sitecatalyst.

I know the figures between Adhoc and Sitecatalyst don't always add up but these differences are huge.

Does anyone have an explanation for this?

The biggest factor between reports & analytics and ad hoc is the ability to "count repeat instances":

Try toggling that to see if reports match a bit more closely.

My first thoughts are for you to make sure you have your calendars set the same, the same report suite, same filters, same segments between the two.  I know these are obvious things, but after a long day they might start to blend together.  Also make sure its the same report you're working with as well.

Thanks, double checked it but everything is the same. The starting views are the same as well, it is the next page that differs a lot.

Maybe there is some fundamental difference in these reports between Sitecatalyst and Adhoc?

Thanks a lot, that was the cause indeed. I was so focussed on the percentages and didn't realize they would change as well because of the decrease in the firts page inflow when turning of the repeat instances.
