Creating segment of users based on event and time

I am interested in creating a segment of users based on a certain event during a specific month. For example, a segment of users who bought product A (event) during oct 2015. I am interested in seeing their activity on our website subsequently. Is there a way to do so in reports & analytics (sitecatalyst)?

    You can do this two different ways:

       1. You can set a Date eVar on each visit and then segment on that
       2. You can create a Cohort Analysis in Analysis Workspace and right-click on the cell of the cohort you want and build a segment off of that

      Thank you, I was able to create the segment using the cohort table. Analysis workspace looks like a pretty powerful tool.
