Hello,
I have reinstalled the most updated version of report builder and it won't let me sign in through the experience cloud but as we have migrated this means that I can't sign in
clicking single sign-on doesn't do anything
anyone have any ideas?

Are you sure you are on the latest version? Can you check if your version is 5.6.27?
A long time ago, the sign in page was changed. So you should be seeing something like this:
I am wondering whether the difference in sign in screen is cause of difference in office version.
