Hello All,
I'm trying to investigate user behavior from online Ad., from landing our site to final targeted action. So, I would like to ask, is there any report could list the numbers of average page visited before cart or click and what the paths are?
E.g. We would like to see, from the user entries our website, until visit "cart" or click on "Contact support" (activity map link), how many pages are viewed, and what the pages/paths are.
I understand from path / flow report, we can see the path, but it's only for "page", and not possible get a list of "numbers of page visited", also it's not for specific "click" on activity map link or success event.
Also I learnt Sequential Segmentation could helps, but I am learning on it.
So, it's better to see either:
1. list of average pages visited before "click on contact support" or success event (e.g. add to cart) or a specific page:
visit 1 page: 900 visits
visit 2 pages: 3,412 visits
visit 3 pages: 237 visits
If can break down the detailed path by click the above items, will be amazing; e.g. when click on "visit 2 pages", the all path include 2 pages visits before "contact support" will be shown up
OR
2. There can be a summarize could list out: ALL the paths with only 2 pages before "click on contact support",
e.g. Enter > page A > Page C > "contact Support"
Enter > Page B > Page D > "Contact Support"
But paths include 3 pages or 1 pages, will not be included (e.g. Enter > Page A > B > C > "Contact Support" will not be included)
Please kindly provide any idea could help.
Thanks in advance for your inputs.

i‘m not quite sure but i try to give a solution: use a sequential segment where you say something like
visit segment where „eventX does not exist“ then within 1 hit „eventX exists“ - using the „include before“ option
by applying this segment you should only see the pages the visits had before the desired event. you can even calculate the average page numbers (pageviews / visits) or other interesting things...
i‘m not quite sure what happens to the path/flow report, but basically it should only contain the pages before the event.
please let me know if it works!

Hello urs.boller,
Thanks for your reply, I will try later.
But I think it works for the "event" configured and "pages" level, but I tried the "Activity Map Link", there is no "include before" option in segment, which means for Activity Map Link, the "sequential segments" is not available.
Unfortunately, on our website, the click on "contact support" is not configured as a "success event" right now.

Dear H_L,
I am able to see Activity Map Link in Segment Builder : Below the screen grab.
I am using Workspace here, Can you check?
Thank You!

Hello Arun,
Thanks for your help to validate, yes, the "ONLY Before" is available.
I think I didn't fully understand the "sequential segments", I was using ONLY 1 item as condition, but not using "Then".
It's OK now, and I am going to try to understand how to use this segment urs.boller mentioned.
Best,
H

Hello urs.boller,
I created segment followed by your thread, how every, I tried to understand why but not really cleared in my mind.
Would you mind explain why this segment could help to the purpose of the request:
1. list of average pages visited before "click on contact support" or success event (e.g. add to cart) or a specific page:
visit 1 page: 900 visits
visit 2 pages: 3,412 visits

I appreciate your input
