Analytics Bot Rule for IP range

Question

We found a range of IP addresses in Workspace that has 99% bounce rate. Further investigation showed that the user agent looks extremely suspicious with some of them being "HeadlessChrome" or using Windows 10 and an extremely outdated version of Chrome. We're convinced they are bots.

I would like to add them to the Bot Rules as an IP address but cover the whole range. This is not the real IP address that will be added but just an example. If the IP address starts with "15.12.", will it work if I enter 15.12.0.0/16 in the Bot Rules with IP Address selected in the dropdown?

Based on this, it says to use * for wild cards. So you don't actually need to even use a range since you're using wild cards. You can just do IP address and put 15 12 * *

If you want to use the Bot Rules to exclude an IP range, you can select "IP range" from the dropdown. So you would enter the lower and upper ranges for the IPs that you want to exclude.
