Usage Based Billing

Please, please, please stop subjecting Omniture customers to being billed on an annual estimate of our traffic and instead switch to monthly usage based billing as is the norm for many industry standard tools such as DART for Publishers from Google for example.

It's also makes no sense that if I do not use my annual server call allotment that I don't receive a refund yet I will be charged extra for overages.

Best,

Mike

I think it be nice to see not only the monthly totals, but both quarterly and annual totals.

I have 200+ report suites belonging to different sub-businesses and its a nightmare trying to distribute this cost to each cost center. It would be nice to be able to categorise certain report suites together and allow you to key in the server call costs, so we can output the different respective monthly or quarterly costs.

Awesome idea Guam - I'd almost say place this as another separate idea.  At my current company this isn't much of an issue, but I was previously at a company with ~130 report suites which had to be grouped to 4 distinct cost centers.  Something to help with the allocaiton would've been great.

I agree with Mike -- Guam, that's a really interesting idea, and it's different enough from Mike's idea that I would recommend entering it separately if you haven't already done so.

Thanks Kevin - already followed up with my AM Smiley Happy

The issue is though, this should be the default setup not a special customer request.  On the Omniture side, I'm sure their accountants would enjoy eliminating massive amounts of deferred revenue they have to accrue every month.
