time granularity down to minute of hour

I think this would be very beneficial for media companies, especially during live events, each minute makes a different.

By the way, I think Time of Day, Day of Week, Day of Month, and Minute of Hour should all be a out-of-the-box dimension, similar to Day of Week as a lifecycle metric for mobile app.

@Michael_Lee Would this be for after-the-fact/postmortem reporting, or real-time analysis/actioning? I'm sure you have seen the Real-Time report in Adobe Analytics which does include minute granularity. Traditional Adobe Analytics reports can be up to 90 minutes latent, so minute granularity in those reports would not be available until (possibly) after the live event, unless your request is also to decrease that number Smiley Happy

Thanks Ben, it will be for postmortem reporting.  In the metric report, we can view data by hour, day, week, month, it would be nice to be able to view by minute. It would be nice to able to say something like 'the campaign went out at 3:35, at 3:55, the clicks start coming in"

Another usercase would be where we couldn't analyse using server logs .. eg. when an article/video goes viral ie whilst we could (using server logs) to determin the second/mins the requests started what we can't see (unless we capture by populating evar with time value) is when the article/video was shared.  Additionall we could combine this with logged in info to possibly infer the influencer(s)
