Tabs (for multiple panels) in Workspace

After reading the idea about Tabs (for multiple projects in Workspace which ask forntabs to open different projects why not ask for tabs WITHIN the single project?

basically instead of having different panels below each other, I would love to see a top row to select the different panels.

I know that I can make links to the different panels, but this is awful to create and maintain.

maybe I find some time to make a nice screenshot...

    Tabs instead of Panels would be great. maybe a button to switch between the two.

    maybe a header similar to the "drop down" zone where you can select the single "panel tabs".

    remark: could be used for pdf pagination as well: each tab is on a new pdf page within one pdf...
