It is important for webmasters to know when a cart was opened...especially for the Cart Conversion Tunnel report. Since some shopping carts don't trigger this event, I have a simple method that with the help of Adobe that can make it simple for affected webmasters to benefit to receive "cart open" data:
The ScView code is in the cart already anyway. For websites that don't have the event, there should be a switch in their administrative dashboard to count a visitor's first ScView as a "cart open" and each of that visitor's subsequent views as a "cart view".
The coding on Adobe's side would be very easy to implement compared with the coding that would need to be done on the webmaster's side.
