Set latest version of SiteCatalyst as the default on login page

The latest version (currently v15) should always be the default one selected on the login page.  This should be easy to do, and would save us an extra click on almost every login.

The 'Remember me' cookie does not help as we have to regularly clear cookies during testing.

The last 'idea' for this is marked as "Implemented" - but it has fixed the version to 14, rather than dynamically selecting the first version in the list, which is (should be) always the latest version.

Keep in mind that not all users have chosen to upgrade to SC 15 yet. What would create a better experience for some would create a worse experience for others. This is definitely something we will look into as more and more of our analytics customers choose to upgrade; just wanted to provide some context for why it may not be as straightforward a decision as it probably seems.

What about using a subdomain that specifically points to the various versions?

For example, I generally use http://my.omniture.com to get to the login screen.  I know that http://sc.omniture.com exists too.  Why not add a sc15.omniture.com that defaults to version 15?

That's a good idea, actually. However, a couple of weeks ago we decided to go ahead and make this change; enough customers have upgraded that it makes sense to make SC 15 the default.

This should be available very soon.

This is now complete. For new users/browsers or those who have recently cleared cookies, SC 15 is the default option.
