Example: In AA,  I am only able to see the variable name, but not if it is a prop or evar.

AA:

  1. Adhoc, which clearly states if thi is an evar or a prop.

Asking since AA will be sunset eventually.

Yes, it would be very helpful especially for the Adobe Analytics implementations where props are copied into eVars (or vice versa).

In addition to the variable name (ID), it would be also beneficial to see a label referring to the Classification based dimensions.

Examples:

  • Country Code (eVar24)
  • Country Code (prop23)
  • Country Name (prop23, Classification)

I don't know if it is useful or not.

example: we started adding a code to each var, eg "v1" for eVar1 and classifications have a letter at the end, eg. "v1a" for the first classification of eVar1.

adding the variable name to each variable might solve some clients, other might have just too many information.

Instead, I suggest for an improvement of the "report suite" and "classifications" interface for faster change of the settings (especially names and descriptions)

meanwhile this idea can be approved: you can trace the segment definition in JSON format using API or also in browser console, something like that
