I've created a lot of dashboards for individuals throughout the company. I would like to give access to specific data to just one or a few individuals for each dashboard, restricting who gets to see certain proprietary information. For example, our outside vendors should only be allowed to view data they specifically need to do the work we've contracted with them to do and nothing more. Right now I can push the dashboards to specific people, but in doing so, you have to share the dashboards, which allows anyone who has access to our Omniture reporting, to view any and all dashboards through the Manage Dashboards area. I am able to automate the dashboards to be sent to specific people but here's my dilemma with that... the individual reports within the dashboards give totals at the bottom, but cut off listings/ line items greater than about 15 - 20. So the only way to see an entire month of daily totals, is to open the individual report themselves, or for me to open it and send it to them manually each period. With 90+ dashboards, some having as many as 12 reports in each, that becomes a very time consuming effort. My suggestion is to change the PUSH function in the Manage Dashboards area to only allow those people selected, to view the dashboard and not have it SHARED to everyone who has access to our system.
