Report Builder - Scheduling options for last day of the month

Dear Adobe Evangelists, It would be great if you can add a scheduling option in report builder, where the report can be scheduled to last day of every month. Currently there is no option where we can schedule the reports to last day of the month (Please see the attachment with the current options available in Report Builder Scheduling). We need to submit a report to the client on last day of every month and since there is no options available to schedule it, we need to refresh the requests manually and send it. Hope this feature would get added in the Report Builder. Regards, Mohan

Hello, 

Yes, this is a limitation of the Adobe Analytics Scheduling engine at this time.

There are several possible workarounds:

- You do not need to refresh the request manually. On the last day of the month, schedule the workbook for immediate delivery. It will be executed and sent right away.

It still involves a manual step though but it is a quick one, when compared to refreshing the report manually.

- If you do not have any on your company, add a report suite with an Auckland timezone.

Upon scheduling the workbook, the Auckland timezone should be available on the Delivery Time option. Choose that timezone and also a delivery time of 1 AM.

Finally schedulle the workbook for the first of the month. As long as the requests in the workbook point to report suites that are in later timezones, the workbook should return data for the previous day which will be the last day of the month. And if the recipient is also in the later timezone, he will receive the workbook on the last day of the month.

- You could create twelve yearly scheduled tasks, one for Jan 31, one for Feb 28 (or 29) etc..although editing the workbook and rescheduling would be very fastidious.

Upon further research, we believe that this is already supported.

Upon scheduling your workbook choose the following:

- Monthly,

- Day [31] of Every [1] month(s)

The scheduling engine should adapt to the number of days in the month and deliver the workbook on the last day, each month.

Thanks so much for your response.

I didn't try the below option:

- Monthly,

- Day [31] of Every [1] month(s)

as I thought the report might send on those days where there are 31 calendar days. I would try this option since you are saying the report builder will automatically adapt to the number of days in the month and send the report on last working day.
