Monthly Unique Visitors Metric

In light of the latest discontinuation notice informing that Adobe will be ending the services of "Reports and Analytics" section including all of its exclusive metrics and reports, and replacing it with Workspace, we'll be losing one of the metrics which is of an utmost importance to our daily analytical tasks, and also important to other markets, which is "Monthly Unique Visitors" metric.

What makes this metric very essential is being able to breakdown the monthly active base across the month's days, in order to identify which users have appeared for the first time in exactly which day of the month.

It'd be great if Adobe can either retain their metric somehow, and replicate it to be used in Workspace, due to its great importance. Also, my question is, is there a work-around to calculate this metric under custom metrics?

Thanks.

Going to give you an upvote while I think about ways to calculate this....

On that note... I know that Monthly Unique Visitors is available in Excel Report Builder... so I wonder if that metric will still be available after Reports goes away, but can only be accessed that way (and maybe through the API?).

Thank you @Ahmed_Hazem-Ham! This comes up for me at least once every few months and drives me nuts. Then I do a Google search to see if there are any updates and find old strings like this. And give up because none of the methods seem safe.

Here's a use case for Product: As an analyst, I need to give Tech & Marketing an "Engagement by App Version Number" report, so they know if app improvements are having an effect on engagement.

To measure engagement, I need an average daily user watchtime for each app version. Since some versions are out for days and some are out for weeks, it wouldn't make sense to use total de-dupped users, since that would favor the versions that are out longer. So for my denominator I want a Daily Unique Visitor number (which we had on the old Reports tool.)

I'm using Visits as a proxy, but it's fickle due to app time outs, etc.

I can't use Report Builder because I'm on a Mac.
@Jennifer_Dungan we'd be grateful if you can bring up this old problem to Product!

@katynorris I know the subject of Report Builder for Mac has been brought up before... and the CJA version works on Mac (but that doesn't really help those of us on good old Analytics)....

I will do what I can though...

In the meantime.. have you tried a Windows Virtual Machine running on your Mac? It might be slow... but at least it would be something.....
