Make dashboard trended reportlets show top items when segment is applied

If you create a trended report with no segment (eg showing top 5 items) and add it to a dashboard, it shows fine when there is no segment applied to the dashboard.

However, if you apply a segment to the dashboard, the reportlet will only show the top 5 items in the original reportlet with no segment applied. If none of the top 5 items within the applied segment are in the original reportlet (with no segment)... the reportlet shows nothing, as it does not automatically select 'top items' in that reportlet.

Highly annoying!
