Implement an "average" for statistics in Site Catalyst

When producing a report in Site Catalyst, there is alway a "Total" at the end of the lines. Regarding some KPIs like conversion rate or bounce rate a total is not helpful at all and even wrong. So it would be great if you could change that into "average" at leat when you are making a dashboard with the report.

This is something we are looking at first for introduction into Ad Hoc Analysis (Discover).

For now, yes. But we will be looking to make similar functionality available on the web ASAP.

I agree completely, this is a real pain when presenting reports with obviosuly incorrect data.

When this is implemented, however, it should not be an average of averages. This would also be incorrect information.

It should instead recalculate the total based on all available data, and then come up with the real number. For example, If we're talking about bounce rate, it shouldn't provide an average of bounce rate, it should tally alll the data for the rows in the chart and re-calculate the total bounce rate.

@TorontoSEO, that's a great point. I'll check with our developers to see whether that is the case at the platform level.

This is now available in ad hoc analysis as of the October 2013 release. Marketing as partially implemented.
