Dashboard Duplication - Ability to Create Template Dashboards

Request for a dashboard duplication utility that would copy all reports with metrics from an existing dashboard to a new report suite/identically named dashboard for the new report suite.



We are making different dealer "levels" of access, including preconfigured dashboards with their most important reports. Problem is that right now, we have to configure the dashboard ourselves for each dealer we create an account for.

 

It would be so much easier to just duplicate a dashboard via the SiteCatalyst tool or even the API.

    Have you tried using the Publishing feature to have the same dashboard replace data for different dealers?

    From what I have read of the publishing lists, they are only good for email. We will be giving our clients access to the toolset and want them to have these default dashboards with the most important reports already added.

    Implemented in 14.7...check out the new instructional videos for the release found at: http://www.ou-training.com/video/SC14.7highlights.html. There's a section titled "Copy a Dashboard to Another Report Suite."

    This hasn't been implemented. You only have this functionality for "Legacy Dashboards" not for new ones.
