Dashboard - additional folder structure or filter by reportsuite

Hi,

it would be very helpful handling

- many shared dashboards

- in companies with many disitinct reportsuites

to have them (a) grouped by reportsuites and/or (b) put them into self-defined folders by admins,

e.g.

Shared dashboards

+- Report Suite A

     +- Folder 1

          +- Dashboard I

          +- Dashboard II

          ...

     +- Folder 2

     ...

+- Report Suite B

....

+- Report Suite X

We have now over the years tons of dashboard the users hav lost overview.

Folders and report-suite groups will help definitively.

Thanks,

Michael

Michael - might want to look at this idea too IDEA: Group reports & dashboards by cascading Business Folders

Currently there is little more than ADD/EDIT/DELETE/SHARE functionality in the Dashboard Manager.

We would love the ability to create folders and customized categories, similar to a directory tree.  It would create greater efficiency for dashboard builders, and improve "findability" for dashboard consumers.

This sounds very close to and/or you might also appreciate this IDEA: Group Reports & DB's into common cascading Business Folders

While this might sound like a very small item, for those of us with several dashboards and cross-functional teams, it would serve as a useful tool for clustering reports in an easy to find place without doing blanket searches on the entire reporting suite.

Allow us to group and easily move dashboards to better organize them. Right now I have 74 dashboards, and they are in one long list with no folders or separators. If I want to move a dashboard in the list, the page has to reload after every movement up by one. I would like to be able to group them in folders like bookmarks and move them more easily.

No way to put dashboards in folders? For  real?  This tool amazes me anew each and every day! Product People: Time to get back to basics. And stop taking features away--folders used to exist but not any more. ::big sigh::

becoming more and more of a problem ... need better dashboard management!

We use many shared Dashboards and the list is getting difficult to locate Dasboards quickly.  Why not treat the Dashboards like Bookmarks, allowing users to create folders for organization?
