Allow Dashboard creators to hide the totals and percentages on the reportlets.

I would like to be able to hide the Totals and hide the Percentages (%) just like I can currently hide the Graph or Details on the dashboard reportlets. Sometimes the Totals and Percentages are not meaningful on reportlets.

An easy example is when I create a report that uses filters to show visits on some of the pages in a reportlet (for example all page names that include "database"). The total shows the total number of Page Views (or Visits, etc...) and % of Page Views for the site, not for just this segment of data. The same happens when I'm showing a correlation in a reportlet.

Totally with you there.  Sometimes we have to pull data from different points that mean equivalent things, so the percentages quickly become meaningless unless you understand them.

I've had to explain this to report users more times than I can remember.  Often to the same people!

Currently I have to either add a footnote to the report saying "Please ignore totals" or I go through the painstaking process of image-editing to white out the totals in the reportlet. So tedious.

Great idea!  While they're at it I would like the option to remove percentages from EVERY Site Catalyst report, not just the dashboards.  Every time I export data I need to delete all of the percentage columns.  So annoying.

Great idea. I hate that too

Thanks for submitting this

Completely agree.  Most of our reports are for specific products/tools and it is always confusing to the stakeholders that receive the reports when they see that the totals don't add up (since they are showing totals for the entire site).

Thanks!

In Analysis Workspace, you can turn off numbers and/or percentages in the column settings. Having the totals reflect a filtered table is something that is in development (for Workspace).

jen.lasser there are a lot of cases where the totals are complete nonsense, even with the feature „calculate total based on all rows“

the ability to let user decide if they want to see the total would be a great improvement (and i don‘t need to explain why it doesn‘t match )
