Alerts for specific hour ranges of the day

It would be really nice to allow the possibility of selecting specific hour ranges of day for alerts

For example, I set an hourly alert when page views below 1000, but it concerns me only if it happens during the day time (from 8am to 8pm). It’s normal that page views decrease during the night, while every morning I have to delete the 12 meaningless alerts received. Smiley Sad

Hopefully we could make the alert activated only for a specific hour ranges of each day !!!!

I’ve seen some post about activating alerts only on certain days of week, same idea.Smiley Tongue

Thanks

It would be great to set alerts by time of day.  For example, if I am monitoring conversion rate, I might change the threshold based on the time of day (daytime vs, latenight).

Has anybody tried using the new "Hour of Day" dimension? Might be a little work in setting it up, but seems like it would work.

I've tried applying a segment for 'exclude out-of-hours' based on Hour of Day dimension, to the new(ish) 'intelligent alerts' and found that the number of alerts *increased* even for those that were based on number of occurrences (I thought it might make sense, for alerts based on % thresholds, because the algorithm might be training itself only on the core business hours too, resulting in a more sensitive threshold or something...).

I tried using a segment to 'include office hours' (in case it was the 'exclude' that caused a weird problem) but it gave the exact same result.

I think this is an Adobe bug, so I'm raising a ticket.
