Ability to report Insight usage by user

We are in the process of rolling out Insight and we have a fixed number of licenses.  If we had the ability to easily report on Insight usage, it would make it much easier for us to manage Insight licenses.

Right now I'd settle for just knowing what people are connecting to the data set, on what dates, and how many times per day.

Stretch goal would be to know what dimensions they are using. (for use in trying to identify unused dimensions that could be removed)

Thanks!

This is an excellent idea and should be part of the product functionality.  Insight folks at Omniture do have a profile they call "Query Analyzer" that reads it's own Trace logs to pull some of the information you mention.  They are willing to share it if you ask for it but you might need some consulting help setting it up.  It also presents a load on the system so you might want to run it from a Test server.  But doing all this is a bit cumbersome so I agree that it should be part of the out of box package.  Maybe it could be included in some of the Flex Administrative functions they have planned so that it is web based and not part of workstation.

I echo everyone's comments.  From an Administration perspective, it would greatly help understanding which profiles users are actively using.   We manage over 20+ profiles here and it may provide leverage for the platform to reduce the number of profiles or at least reduce the number of active profiles if we better understood when users where accessing them.
