Unanswered question during the show:

"Can you use the (Analytics) data connector if Advertising analytics is already connected?

Advertising Analytics is not available in the Analytics Data Connector (ADC), but does not prevent the use of ADC, it simply does not have Advertising Analytics data included.

Unanswered question during the show:

"Is there an option like view only access to schemas and data sets that can be shared with users?"

Unanswered question during the show:

"Is there a (public) sandbox for CJA?"

There is not ... yet. But you can access a publicly available read-only CJA Project here:

Unanswered question during the show:

"Do we need to be using WebSDK in order to feed activity data to AEP / CJA/ CDP? Does that get loaded by Launch (Tags), or is it loaded separately?"

There's a wide array of ways to push data into AEP/CJA and RTCDP. We could chat about options for 10 minutes.

Here's a diagram that is largely focused on getting data into Core AA, but also covers ways to get data into AEP:
https://adobe.ly/aaprocessing

Off the top of my head, data can be pushed into AEP/CJA/RTCDP via:

  1. Web SDK (which the best practice is to use Tags (fka Launch) but can be invoked via JavaScript or any TMS)
  2. Mobile SDK
  3. AEP Edge Network Server API
  4. Core Adobe Analytics source connector to AEP
  5. JSON, CSV, Parquet files
  6. The wealth of preconfigured AEP Source Connectors

Unanswered question during the show:

"Is it possible to create a report in CJA only to understand all data upload every day in AEP and understand data inconsistence?"

Today, the only way to do this is to ensure all Datasets that exist in AEP are also being pushed into CJA. It's possible (and likely, tbh) that some Datasets are not pulled into CJA via a Connection. So for those, you wouldn't have a complete view of AEP's data ingestion.

However, you can easily keep an eye on all data ingestion per AEP Sandbox via the Monitoring feature. Learn more here:

Unanswered question during the show:

"I understand CJA is not expected to replace AA so does it even matter to do any data validation and/or do a feature parity?"

The sets of docs here may be very helpful if looking to consider feature parity:
https://experienceleague.adobe.com/en/docs/analytics-platform/using/compare-aa-cja/cja-aa-comparison/overview

as well as @frederikwerner 's excellent post:
https://www.fullstackanalyst.io/blog/adobe-customer-journey-analytics/its-finally-time-to-migrate-to-adobe-customer-journey-analytics/

CJA absolutely can replace AA, but it isn't necessarily necessary that it does - it's all about the use cases that customers are looking to solve for.

When bringing your AA data to CJA, I'd say there is some level of data validation necessary, but as with any data migration, you'll realize that everything won't match perfectly.

Question during the show:

"Is there any limit for high cardinality dimensions when ingesting data into CJA using an AA source connector? AA is limited to 500K unique values."

I am happy to share that CJA doesn't have those same cardinality limitations as regular Adobe Analytics. In fact, as a former Adobe Analytics client, that is one of the features I was most excited about for CJA. You not only can report on any dimension value, but you can also Filter/segment down to any dimension value.

Feedback during the show:

"An example SDR (Luma Corp) provided by Adobe would go a long way, From Requirements to Solutioning - where you go to generate the report."

Questions @bryan_skelton :

1) Once we create a Adobe Analytics Dataflow using source connector in AEP.
Do we need to rename all the events/dimensions in dataview stage in CJA.
I dont see the event names populated automatically.
Do you know what could be the possible reasons?

2) If we have multiple domains and 1 report suite for each domain. What is the best dataview settings to bring in all the report suites data to create like a global report suite. Running into some issues for classification dimensions and not sure how to import them for each report suite and use it in CJA Dataview.
Please throw some light on the multiple report suite <> global report suite scenario as well.
