I know they can send individual emails via MSI, but what's the best way for sales agents to mass email contacts/leads from within Salesforce?

Unsure how I'll report on revenue in RCA and other analyzers without closed won opportunities. We put revenue into a field in the account object in SFDC. Has anyone encountered this? How will this affect the set-up of our RCA?

Would I be able to pull 1 analytic report for all workspaces or would I have to pull a report within each workspace then aggregate the data outside of Marketo?

Hi,Let's say I have scheduled in the past some campaigns to go out next week with PDT time zone (time zone of my company).Now thanks to the new release, I can change the by default time zone to CET (as I'm based in Paris).Does that mean that all campaigns scheduled at 1:30 AM PDT (10:30 AM CET) will go out at 1:30 AM CET?or will the dates automatically switch to 10:30 AM CET?or will those campaigns not be affected by time zone change?Cécile @ Talend

I have an Alert setup that notifies me of new conversions on any form.  I have added a Trigger though on my Smart List for Fills Out Form - Not Contains - Unsubscribe.  That didnt work, so I added Fills Out Form - Form Name Is Not - Unsubscribe Form.My smart list is set to use All, but I still get Unsubscribes through this Alert.  I'm apparently doing something wrong, but I'm puzzled to know what.  It seems very straight forward.

Hi, This question has been raised during our MUG. What is the exact purpose of customized urls/PURLS? I understand that it allows you to make the urls look nicer (for instance on prints) and that you can also personnalized the urls with the first names and last names within a specific smart list. Does the fact that we have a series of unique urls make reporting easier? Does that mean that somebody outside the smartlist cannot use the url? or that url cannot be used twice? If you are using customized urls, can you let me know how and why? thanks   Cécile Maindron

Hi There!Our SFDC Users are getting this error atlest 10 times in few hours and it is really a huge waste of their time.Background:We just installed Marketo before few weeks and we never started sending any emails yet. So for now, all it does is sync the data from SFDC. No updates from Marketo is done. But still during every sync, it looks the SFDC record.Actions we took:We read the article posted by Marketo. SFDC Users are doing only inline editing which does reduce the frequency at all.SFDC user have to edit many fields when are editing one record. It is rediculous to ask them to save everytime when they are editing every field. Also everytime a contact is saved, we have a huge list of triggers that fires for various business processes. Its going to be a huge overload to the system too.I am sure many of you would have faced the same issue because this is a huge bug - locking the records for every sync even when there is no updates from Marketo side that is pushed to SFDC.Any advice?

Lead source makes perfect sense on the lead/contact level, but I'm not 100% convinced of its value at the account level.Is anyone tracking this and if so, how do you determine the best account lead source?Thanks!

I am looking for a way (and have been unsuccessful) to have the Marketo web activity report data in Salesforce so I can create a static report that our sales reps can run at their convenience.  Any ideas?

Did I miss it before or did the Community just add Like buttons next to replies in Discussion items and get rid of the "Best Answer" button? I think a lot of people don't select "Best Answer" because it excludes other good replies and sometimes it doesn't apply because the replies are not really answers. I "Like" it!How does this affect the "Select x Best Answers" and "Receive x Best Answers" badges?

Hi,I have a question related to the new release. One of the new features is:Enhanced Field Display NamesField Display Names can display text in different languages.When I click on link, the page displayed doesn't seem to be the right one. It's indeed about custom fields, but content looks "old" (I'm pretty sure I have read this page a while ago when I wanted to create custom fields) and there is nothing about languages....Is it just me?Cécile @ Talend

I built a trigger campaign that upon a pre-define action occuring, captures the {{system.date}}.  When I activate the campaign and click at the results tab, I get the following message in the detail column, "Skipped choice, Had one more more invalid tokens". This does not make much sense to me since the only token being used is the {{system.date}} one from the available list of tokens. Any thoughts?

We are looking into having multiple email subscriptions based on department and product.Has anyone had success doing something similar?If so, would you suggest using multi-select picklists to map to in SFDC?

I was just wondering if using "Filled Out Form" choice on flows fires on the last submitted form (and not fire based on past activities)For example, I created a smart campaign for form fillouts, so if a lead filled out a "Trial" form, his status is changed. if it's a different form, it skips the status change.ThanksItay

Hi,I have just noticed today (but it was maybe implemented a while ago!), that on top of the total members/ acquired by / success lines, there was a socially acquired line. Do you know how it works? I have checked on help articles but I cannot find an answer? Is it all leads who have become members of program because of the social buttons within mailing? because of social media (regardless of the fact that there were or not social media buttons on mailing)? does that include friends (from forward to a friend)?Cécile @ Talend

We are fairly new to Marketo but my boss would like to have leads NOT assigned to one person, but rather be sent into a queue where sales reps can then "work" the leads and not take ownership until an opportunity is created.  The problem is that he also wants to utilize sales alerts in Marketo.  How is the best way to handle this when the owner of the lead is under my name and in the lead queue until an opportunity is created? Any creative ideas or does anyone else follow this process?

I've changed the default time zone to be Eastern yet when I look to schedule an email campaign it is still only giving me a PST option and nothing else.  Didn't the Jan release address time zone?  Am I missing something?

We are coming across the following issue: A new lead, lets call him John, is created as a result of completing a form. When that form is completed a new known lead, John, is created if the lead does not exists yet. A field on the form, Requirements, is updated everytime the form is completed (no blocking updates) A smart campaign is then triggered to create a SF task, based on the creation of a new lead, the filling out of the form, or the changing of the field Requirements. A second duplicate lead for John is then created, we do not know how though because the Merge Lead activity record does not specify (or does it?). The leads are then merged, which then triggers the smart campaign, because a new lead has been created and the Requirements field has been changed from NULL to having a value, even though it is the exact same value as before. How can the smart campaign be avoided from triggering twice for the same Requirements value?Keep in mind the smart campaign must run ev

Hi all,We have a number of real world events coming up. In Marketo, these are Events/Roadshows.Anyone have any tips or advice on pre-event reporting?I was hoping to send a daily update of registrations, but understand this isn't feasible, nor is it feasible to subscribe to a smart campaign. This one will be a manual process of exporting and emailing the smart campaign. As far as I know, I can't attack this from another angle - there is no ability to run a Trigger report in Analytics. Does anyone have any advice on some pre-event reports and how they achieve this?

Hi all,We are going to use iPad check-in.Rather than inviting iPad users - we want to invite a generic iPad user 'ipaduser@ourcompany.com' password is 'password'. Can multiple instances of the same user be logged in at the one time? Are there any other reasons not to have a generic user? 

It's okay to have multiple campaigns with the same smart list, right? So if someone fills out a form, it could trigger multiple campaigns simultaneously.The use case would be to organize all interesting moments separately.
