hi all,I've performed a fresh installation of AEM 6.1 and started following this tutorial:https://docs.adobe.com/docs/en/aem/6-1/develop/the-basics/website.htmlWhen I finished the 1st step of "creating your website page and content pages" (step 13), it says I can double click in my recently created page and it will open in edit mode. But not happens.When I check the error.log, I see this: org.apache.sling.engine.impl.SlingRequestProcessorImpl service: Uncaught SlingExceptionjava.lang.NullPointerException: nullWhen I went back to the contentpage component, I see something different from others structures. [img]Screen Shot 2015-08-29 at 5.32.19 PM.png[/img]And now it's working.So here's come the question: is the tutorial above wrong or have I missed something?

Hi.Here is a picture.So when I add a new Infobox , the 2nd subcontainer (here is Links) is pushed outside of the parent container (the one with a border). [img]infobox.png[/img]If I delete the 2nd infobox, the 2nd subcontainer comes back to  his original place.How to fix it? All subcontainers and its relative infoboxes should stay inside the container.

Hello, this is the scenario (CQ5.6). Let's say there is the following node /content/geometrixx/articles, with articles inside of it. In author instance I create a package as a backup of that node. Then I deactivate article1 inside of articles, if I try to access the page I get a 404 page, that is fine. However if I build the backup package again and then replicate it, the deactivated page (article1) is available, that is, I do not get the 404 but instead the article.Is there a way to replicate a package while preserving deactivated pages? That is, how I avoid re-activation?Version: CQ5.6.0Thanks.

Hello,We have started using the AEM Translator console to handle translations for multiple i18n languages. Previously we were managing this directly from CRXDE. Is it possible to activate these translations to a publisher instance from the AEM Translator console, without using in CRXDE? Thanks,Alex

Hi,I would like to create a target component (sling:resourceType should be cq/personalization/components/target) programmatically.My scenario is as follows:- I have a par component_A that has a rendering file component_A.html. This HTML render file calls a JSP file  using the following sightly statement<sly data-sly-include="componentCreator.jsp" data-sly-unwrap />- the included "componentCreator.jsp" should then create a target component and pass it to component_ADoes anybody know how to achieve this? Hi all,My system is currently designed such that users are authenticated against an external Access Manager, which upon successful authentication redirects to AEM. Within AEM I have the Adobe Granite SSO Authentication Handler configured to trust the authenticated requests.Now, I have a requirement where I need to list all the active users logged in to the Author and Publish instances at any given point of time.Does AEM provide any simple admin tool where I can see the list (or at least the count) of currently active user sessions?Regards,Kunal

Hi,The requirement is:We need to make a CQ page non Google Searcheable. For that we have added <meta name="robots" content="noindex"> in template level and provided a checkbox option in page properties so that he can disable search for a specific page.Now the challenge is for Assets (PDF), i added a custom checkbox but dont know where to place this <meta> tag since we dont have any templates for Assets unlike pages. Hi,In AEM 6.1, if there are 2 FileUpload Widgets, then drag and drop option does not appear for 2nd image and second image is also not displayed in dialog. I am using different file names and file references for both images. Hi - Can we have a tarMK cluster at repository level , like one publish instance but repository cluster ?- What is the difference between using a cluster and multiple AEM publish instances - Can an OAK instance exist without having an AEM publish or with one publish can there be two OAK instances ? Rgds

Hi All,We have a use case of getting the tracking the anonymous users journey before he requests for a gated asset which wold require the user to provide his information to a Marketo form. During the form post, we would want to send the user journey information to marketo as well. Is it possible to configure client context to get this information which is similar to the older click stream functionalityAre there any better ways to do this?Thanks,Ravi

Hi guysI'm currently working on an import task that requires me to import thousands of employee images at a time. Since this requires some specific tasks to be performed I decided to use a dedicated workflow for this and to exclude the target DAM path from the default "DAM Update Asset" workflow.I tried [0] first but it didn't work for me. We performed an in place upgrade of our 5.6.1(TarPM) instance on dev to AEM 6.1(TarMK). We followed the steps provided in the official documentation and  it was successful. After the upgrade I see that 5.6.1 repository folders/files (Tar journals, index, tarpm, crx 2 repository config. files etc) present along with the new segment store of TarMK. I believe except for the datastore folder all these files/folders can be safely deleted to reclaim disk space and clean up the installation folders for operation maintenance?  Is there any official script available which can clean up these files or a list of files/folders which can be safely deleted after the upgrade ?

Hi,I am trying to create a mobile site using MSM with Live Copy.  The following describes the steps taken to create my mobile site.1. Browse to siteadmin2. Under Websites, click on New and select New Live Copy3. Enter a title, a name, and set Live Copy From to /content/geometrixx-outdoors/en4. Uncheck Exclude sub pages5. In Sync Config, add Standard rollout config and Geometrixx Mobile6. Click CreateThe resulting mobile site ended up to be an exact copy of the Geometrixx Outdoors site.  The template used for its content pages are Content Page with Left Sidebar.  When we look at the out-of-box Geometrixx Outdoors Mobile Site, we see that the home page has the Mobile Homepage template and all its content pages are based on the Mobile Content Page template.  How do we get the created mobile site to use the Mobile Homepage and Mobile Content Page template?  When we selected Geometrixx Mobile in the Sync Config, we thought the created pages will honor the properties in the editMap and conve

I want to get the excerpt(5 words before and after the search term) for the given fulltext search. I am trying hit.getExceprt() and it returns null. I know that I can set the excerpt properties in web console, but we can only set the jcr:properties there and I am not sure how to specify the content to include in the excerpt. I also read that you can write a query in the indexer to index the summary. I am not sure how this is done and if it is the best approach.Please help.

Hi,When i enter more characters than the maxLength property of textfield it is getting highlighted in red but on hover error message is not getting shown.such as"maximum limit for this field is xxx characters." 

I have some nodes under /etc on my repository which I'd like to insert or change the values of some properties in it. But I neither want to affect nor know the value of other properties in the very same node.What  is the best way to do this task?I was able to create a new sub-node by uploading a package and installing it using the Package Manager, but is not quite what I need.Can anyone shed some light?Thank you very much.

Hi Team,we have set up the short url in the system using etc/map which are internally re-directed to the long version of it. Examplehttp://<host_name>>/<locale>/category/product.html ---this maps to a long url within CQ http://<host_name>>/<locale>/year/category/family/product.htmlIssue is that when someone activates the page within CQ then the long url cache gets cleared at the dispatcher side. But the short url cache remains the same. Is there a cleaner and scalable way to handle this scenario.Please adviceThanksNitin
