In Text component I have added sourceedit plugin using the below structure/apps/foundation/components/text/dialog/items/tab1/items/text/rtePlugins/misctoolsNow every time i had a tag say <footer class="row" > <img src="images/svg/logo-colour.svg" class="logo"><ul class="links"></footer>It introduces the below spaces<p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p>My question:-How can this avoided that is adding the below spaces on every time source edit is opened and saved<p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p>

I am looking to transfer some content between two 5.3 instances, but I cannot get the import to work. I have tried this in 5.6.1 and I get the same issue. In AEM 6.0, usingdata-sly-test="${wcmmode.edit}"would be false in "preview" mode in the authoring instance.  However, this is no longer the case in 6.1.  Trying to use ${wcmmode.preview} also doesn't work.  Is there a way to determine if the page is in preview mode in sightly?Thanks

Hi,   I am trying to display the date on which a particular item is created.The issue is with formatting.For instance,    - If the item is created a day ago then i need to display 1 day ago.    - If the item is created a on the same day then display number of hours like 3 hours ago.    - If the item is created over a week ago then display complete date time like October 24, 2014 at 08:54 PMcom.day.cq.commons.date.RelativeTimeFormatIt displays something like Jun 3(1 day ago), for first case and 02:45 PM(3 hours ago) in second case. Can someone suggest any ideas to overcome this?Thanks!!

Hi,I want to create PDF of an page.My requirement is there will be a component as "Download as PDF" when i click on that component the current page will download as pdf.I gone through about Apache FOP and i created a sling servlet when i clicking on the above mentioned  component made a ajax call to servlet and in my method am using Apache fop. Now i want to download the page as pdf.What should i do next?. Am unable to read page2fo.xsl file under /libs/wcm/core/content/pdf/page2fo.xsli will define my design of pdf in page2fo.xsl file. Now i want to access my page content to populate on pdf and convert the xsl to xslfo format then only i can convert it into pdf. Is am in right path?.  Design is common for pdf.And i don't want to use any third party bundle like itext, PDFboxAny code snippet will heelpful. Thanks,Mohamedh Nishadh

I am using CQ5.5 and want to get a list of properties by running a query under the http://localhost:4502/libs/cq/search/content/querydebug.html.My query:path=/content/mysites/p.hits=selectivep.properties=firstName lastNameproperty=jcr:content/fragment/sling:resourceTypeproperty.value=mysite/components/content/talent/fragmentp.limit=-1The query returns a list of page links, not the property I specified. Does anyone know what's missing in my query? My doubts as below :1] Why is it essential that we should have an author backup on a weekly/daily basis? Hi there,I am trying to do something very simple, just evaluate if a textfield matches a regular expression directly from the dialog (I guess is the easiest way to do it).So, in previous versions (CQ5) I just set up two properties to a cq:Widget which are:regex: /((?:https?\:\/\/)(?:[-a-z0-9]+\.)*[-a-z0-9]+.*)/iregexText: Enter a valid URLThen I was moved to AEM 6, and these properties do not seem to work anymore with the new Touch UI. I tried to find unsuccessfully documentation about it, and finally I ended here.Any suggestion? I haven't been able to track the issue down and hope someone here knows the root cause.As I am adding content and testing components I have noticed on several occasions (more than a few dozen) the Sidekick will loose track of the allowed components. There are two different symptoms and I will explain them both. 1) The sidekick looses track of all components allowed on the page. The Sidekick's components list will be completely blank. I then have to enter design mode, add all the components back to the list, and go back to edit mode. I have resorted to backing up the /etc/designs/SiteName/content.xml and uploading it once the issue happens. 2) On some occasions, the sidekick will have components in the list but I cannot drag them into the desired parsys. Hi,I would appreciate any information regarding the proper way to build a catalog and product pages in AEM.According to my understanding I need to:1. Create a tags structure that represents my products hierarchy2. Import my products (each one is associated to one or more tags)3. Create a structure of catalog blueprints - also according to my products' hierarchy. link the blueprints to the corresponding tag.4. Create page blueprints (define the structure of the page)5. Roll out the page blueprints (do i roll out the pages or the catalog blue print? the catalog has the products info but the pages has the page layout)6.
