How long does it take to sync data?

I have run a data append with a vendor and am going to upload the appended data to record in Marketo. I'm curious how long it would take for the data in Marketo to then write over to SFDC? Is it better to update the records in SFDC and then wait for the data to write back into Marketo?

It is almost always better to import data to Marketo.


Are you importing the changes as a spreadsheet list? Be careful that you have set your Field Blocking correctly or you may overwrite data you want.

The sync changes will run every 5 minutes, but there is a limit to the # of leads/changes per sync. How many leads are being changed?

It is possible that the entire update may take anywhere from 4 hours to 72 hours...but a massive change could take days. Check with Support as they can open up the throttle temporarily.

    Thanks for the response Josh. It's a large chunk of data so I'll reach out to support to open up the throttle. I was running a smaller pocket before and ended up maxing out the daily API calls.
