GotoWebinar Sync Not Functioning

Good Morning,

I am looking at one of our webinar events. It appears some people signed up through GotoWebinar directly, unfortunately they are not showing in the marketo program.

Any advice on how to push these people over? If worse comes to worse I can export as CSV and upload with new status, having a correct connection sounds better

Erik,

Marketo registers a user into Go2Webinar in a uni-directional fashion. The only thing which is bi-directional is attendance info.

One of the ways to fix this situation is to cancel their registration on Go2Webinar and import them into your Marketo program using Import Members function. While importing, it will also allow you to set a status, which in this case would be Registered.

Few things to remember:

  • Before importing members into your program, make sure they have both First & Last names on their Marketo profile or it will trigger Registration Error (Go2webinar needs both by default).
  • Any email already sent via Go2webinar with join link to these folks will not work. You will have to make sure new link to join is sent to them before webinar begins.

Hey Chirag, thanks for the response. So even if we leave them alone we will still have to generate new links instead of the default ones sent by Go2Webinar on their registration page?

You can leave them alone and they can use the join link generated by Go2webinar by default. The only thing you would lose here is their tracking on Marketo campaign.

Hi Erik,

Here's another discussion that might help:GTW registrants not showing up in marketo. The people who signed up through G2W directly won't get pushed back to Marketo until after the webinar is over. The attendance data is only pushed back after the event happens.
