Email not loading when importing list

Please help.

I am new to Marketo, and am working to create an email campaign. When I import a list of contacts as a .csv with Email / First Name / Company Name (all of the good stuff), every other field populates under "Audience" and "Leads" except for email address.

I also read that you aren't able to import a list without the email address, so I don't know why this is happening.

Has this happened to you? Can you help me? Am I missing something?

This happened to us at the beginning. We had two fields in Salesforce that were labeled as Email. I have to select Email Address on the import field now to make sure the emails populate in the correct field.
