Drip nurturing vs. Smart Campaigns

Hello,

In regard to email marketing, can someone explain the difference between an engagement program and a smart campaign? Why would I create an engagement program when I can create a flow within a smart campaign that delivers streamed content?

Thanks!

Elizabeth

@Elizabeth Dack - While we can setup the campaigns to send the emails, engagement programs have the ability to drag drop content, and provide quick insights on engagement scores, leads who are in particular casts, next scheduled casts etc. You can keep on adding content to streams as drag and drop but can't customize it with as much flexibility as with standard smart campaigns - however, if you're looking for standard nurture programs, with not-so-custom transition rules, and you're okay to let the leads wait until the cast is due, Engagement Programs are pretty scalable and quick to build.

Besides, since there's a limited flexibility for engagement programs, you can use standard smart campaigns for nurtures where more custom logic may be needed for progression.
