Question

Do I need Munchkin code on destination page to send an email from Marketo.

My colleague was informed that we can not receive tracking on open and click events if the destination page doesn't have Munchkin.  I find this hard to believe and would like some clarification.

The destination page analysis is not of primary concern, but open rates and click through to the page are, which I believe can be tracked through Marketo - not needing Munchkin on the destination.

Any advise and/or conformation greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Your clicks and opens will track fine regardless of if the destination page has munchkin installed.  You just won't get any tracking on the destination page itself like Visits Web Page and Clicks Link activities.
