Filtering Dimension - Segmentation

Hello,

is there any difference in the following two approaches when creating segmentation that should show the last 3 transactions for each recipient:

1) Targeting dimension: Recipients

     Filtering dimension: Recipients

     Add data...Data linked to the filtering dimention

or

2) Targeting dimension: Recipients

     Filtering dimension: History of transactions

     Add data...Data of the filtering dimention

Hi Pavlina,

Both approaches are correct.

Major difference will be the type of SQL query generated in background.

Option two will generate a JOIN query which is far more effective when it comes to working on huge volumes.
