Columns number on the Profile table - Campaign Standard

Hi everyone!

I read on the Campaign Standard guide that a "General recommendation is to avoid having more than 40 columns in non out of the box resources". I'd like to know if this rule also applies to the extended Profile table or if this table could have more than 40 columns.

Here the link to the guide: https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/control-panel/using/performance-monitoring/database-monitoring.html?lang=en

Thank you in advance!

Also for the profile table you should not have too many fields as it may impact performance.

e.g. adding 200 custom fields to the profile table may not be a good idea.

Though there is no enforced limit.

So rather something like "as little as possible, as much as needed"
