No Approvals Tab in Delivery Action

When creating a delivery using the 'Delivery' action in a workflow, there is no 'Approvals' tab in the delivery properties.

However, when using an 'Email Delivery' or 'Recurring Delivery' action, the 'Approvals' tab is present in the delivery properties, as shown below:

Why is this the case, and is there a recommended workaround to using approvals with a 'Delivery' action?

Hi @skylerqu1 ,

When using any delivery activities in 'Delivery' tab, you can edit the delivery content directly in Campaign workflow. In these kind of delivery you can find approvals tab.

Whereas the delivery activity in 'Action' tab will be calling the delivery template for each run. And delivery template don't have the approval tab.

Hi @parthasarathy

I understand, thank you for your response. Is there a reason why delivery templates do not have an 'approvals' tab?

Thanks

Tyler

@skylerqu1 , This is as per design of a template. Example, If you look up on a workflow template there won't be a start / stop / restart button, because the purpose of the workflow template is not to execute there; instead call it in a workflow and use the workflow template logic and execute the same in Workflow space. Similarly, delivery template won't be having approval tab. If you want the approval concept in your workflow, you can either use approval activity before delivery activity to check for the counts and approve or you can use recurring delivery activity for other approvals like content approval / Confirm delivery etc.
