New sub domain - Transactional option grayed out?

Hi Community!

I am configuring a separate subdomain for our transactional messages.

When I try to add it in Campaign Control Panel, the transactional option is grayed out. Any idea why that is?

I am thinking that it may be due to the fact that we do not have message center licenced. Our transactions are based on frequent data imports that we react on - So we decided that we did not need the message center as such. So I am thinking just to add a marketing domain and use it for transactional messaging. But does that hold any implications?

Thanks a bunch!

Hi @sorendp

If you don't have message center then it's normal that transactional is not available as the configuration is replicated on RT servers.

There is no issue to setup your subdomain as marketing.

If a have a recommendation it's to create an IP affinity for this domain to avoid any impact on your sender score on the domain your are using for marketing sending.

Thanks,

David
