Hi All,

In a query, there are 2 types of links in a query as shown in below image: (a blue link and an orange link)

Could anyone please explain the differences between these two links in a query activity of adobe campaign classic.

Thank you,

Rutuja Kelkar

Hi Rutuja,

Please take a look at the links section in the documentation below, which describes the differences. These icons represent the various join types of 1-1, 1-0, and 1-n relationships.

Hi @rut7 ,

The 2 Links which you are referring to are created directly in the Schemas, and hence reflecting that way in your query activity.

For Example, Consider the Targeting & Filtering Dimension in your query activity as "Recipient (nms:recipient)" and when you select Filtering conditions you will be getting the window Listing all the related Schemas (as shown in your Screenshot), The difference between those links is shared in documentation and shown below:

https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/campaign-classic/using/configuring-campaign-classic/schema-reference/database-mapping.html?lang=en#links--relation-between-tables

@rut7 ,

This difference is very clearly articulated in the documentation.

The various types of associations (known as “cardinalities”) are as follows:

  • Cardinality 1-1: one occurrence of the source table can have at most one corresponding occurrence of the target table.
  • Cardinality 1-N: one occurrence of the source table can have several corresponding occurrences of the target table, but one occurrence of the target table can have at most one corresponding occurrence of the source table.
  • Cardinality N-N: one occurrence of the source table can have several corresponding occurrences of the target table, and vice-versa.

You can refer to any of the docs shared in the previous responses, which should help answer your query.

Following documentation you can check for reference-
