Enrich workflow temp schema with long text (255 characters)

Question

Hi,

I am creating a custom workflow which extracts texts from workflow XML and returns a list of schemas used in each workflow. The issue I am running into is that some workflows have many schemas, and the default text datatype has a 255 character limit.

I’m looking for guidance on how I can add an output column to a query, enrichment, or javascript activity for long text datatype to get around the 255 character limit.

Hello ​@SkylerQu2,I feel your pain, it's a pain in the... :)One (dirty) workaround I found is to export the temp table to a file, then read that file using a Data Loading (File) activity. The secret is to provide the Data Loading activity with a sample file similar to the generated one, but with an extra column at the end. You can then use "Click here to change the file format..." to manipulate the format of that last column to your liking. There are a few parameters you'll need to adjust so the activity doesn't throw an error when it fails to find that last column in the actual file generated by the preceding step.You can reconciliate after that with your original targeting dimension using the key from the file.hope it is clear to you, as said before, it is dirty, but it works :) .Br,
