Emoticons not working in ACC

Hello,

I see that we have possibility to insert emoticons in emails and sms but when looking into the enum list I see as below:

When trying using one of those I get "??" in the email after proofing. Can someone guide me? Are we missing some setup?

You try using the UTF format directly in the templates. You can refer the link.

Thank you, it worked.

Can you explain why do we have this feature if it is not working? Is there a way to fix this issue permanently instead of doing this workaround?
